William Brubaker Scholarship Award established

Bill Brubaker was a beloved member of the Lower Merion community. He worked in the district for 38 years from 1962 until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Brubaker started as a social studies teacher at Bala Cynwyd Junior High School, then continued as the assistant principal at BC, acting principal of the Narberth School, and then eventually as principal for both Welsh Valley Middle School and Cynwyd Elementary. His legacy in the district continues today, as his daughter, Beth Pavletich, is currently a teacher at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. Having previously worked as an assistant principal at Welsh Valley and 5th grade teacher at Cynwyd, Mrs. Pavletich is truly following in her father’s footsteps!

Friends and family of Mr. Brubaker have established an award in his memory, hoping to pass along his love of education and stressing the importance of higher education. LMTSF is proud to be awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior this year in Mr. Brubaker’s memory.
