Celebrating Our New 2024 Recipients

What a fabulous night we had at The Merion Tribute House as we celebrated our new grant recipients from the Lower Merion and Harriton High School classes of 2024 and their families! All of our new recipients received Special named awards, most notably the new awards created in 2023-24 such as the Jean Marie Sambor Memorial Scholarship, Judy Bard Memorial Teaching Scholarship, the Fox Rothschild-Stanley Cohen Scholarship, The Love of Music Award, Rick and Sarah Altman Scholarship, the LMHS Class of 2023 Award, and “Friend of the Fund” Award given in honor of former board member and LMSD college access counselor, Becky Bowlby.

In her comments, our Fund Chair Katie McGlade noted that the LMTSF logo of an acorn is a meaningful metaphor, as small acorns can result in mighty trees, just like the fund’s investments in deserving students’ educations can result in might payoffs, to the benefit of our entire community.

We were honored to have music provided by the Lower Merion High School String Quartet and the musical stylings of Lower Merion HS Ace Harmony. The evening’s success was ensured by the assistance of the Harriton Service League.

We proudly congratulate our new recipients and wish them much success as they continue in their educational endeavors!
