Bill Brubaker was a beloved member of the Lower Merion community. He worked in the district for 38 years from 1962 until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Brubaker started as a social studies teacher at Bala Cynwyd Junior High School, then continued as the assistant principal at BC, acting principal of the Narberth School, and then eventually became principal for both Welsh Valley Middle School and Cynwyd Elementary. Friends and family of Mr. Brubaker have established an award in his memory, hoping to pass along his love of education and the importance of higher education.
